What’s up with Home Net Games? Release of the Hex Commander and The Pirate series updates
For the last couple of months we’ve informed you about our plans, new projects and updates of The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt and Plague of the Dead. We like to surprise you, but this time we’d like to share more information about our games with you.
The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt
As you are reading these words, we are polishing 8.2 update at the moment, which will contain the epic HMS Duke of Kent (first look at the screenshot below). We will also optimize performance and fix bugs you reported to us since the last update. The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt is still very important project for us. It has a ton of features already, but we still believe that we can make it better.. We want to keep Carribean Hunt as historically accurate as possible, and we want it to be the best multiplayer pirate game on mobile devices. On the other hand, Plague of the Dead is focused on single-player and sandbox gameplay.
The Pirate: Plague of the Dead
To begin with, we’d like to thank you for the warm welcome of the Plague of the Dead on iOS. In Europe we are featured in 8th position in free to play strategies!
Some time ago, we announced a story add-on, we decided to modify our plans and polish sandbox gameplay first. In a near coming update, we’ll introduce an interesting option related to conquering ports. This month we hope to also add a new captain if time permits. He will be a huge surprise. Later on, we’ll focus on expanding the story. To sum up - this year we’ll introduce a lot of new content and adjustments.
Hex Commander: Fantasy Heroes
This is our newest child, released this Saturday. You probably don’t know that Mirek – HNG founder and lead designer of all our games – is a huge fan of strategy games. In 1996 he created the first Polish RTS. He was also lead designer of highly acclaimed Earth 20XX series. He has wanted to go back to the strategy genre from a long time, and that's why Fantasy Heroes was born. With Hex Commander, he also wanted to go back to the HNG roots – to develop the game with you – the players, to have an open dialogue and update the game extremely often. We believe that with your help we’ll create something very unique. Of course we will work on implementation of other languages and expansion for other platforms after some time.
Project Charon: Space Fighter VR
We are happy with the reception of the game on the Oculus Store. We are also aware that many of you don’t have a VR capable device, and you want to play Project Charon on your phone or PC. We don’t want to reveal too many details and promise any dates just yet, but we just want to say: we listened to you. What does this mean? You’ll know soon enough.
As you can see, there is a lot of things going on within Home Net Games, thank you for supporting us, thank you for your feedback and last but not least - especially your patience and understanding. Plans tend to change, and we are very sorry for any delays.
