Running the Game on Older Versions of Windows (Not Recommended)

We strongly recommend using a currently supported version of Windows for the best performance, stability, and security. However, if you are unable to upgrade your operating system, you may still be able to launch an older compatibility build of the game.

If you are running an older version of Windows and cannot launch the game, you may try using the Compatibility Version available on Steam. Please note that this option is not officially supported and may stop working at any time.

How to switch to the Compatibility Version

1. Open Steam and go to your Library.
2. Right-click on the game title and select Properties.
3. In the Betas tab, open the dropdown menu.
4. Select the option named “ver. ... compatibility version”.
5. Close the window - Steam will automatically download and install that version.

The compatibility builds date back to 2020–2021. They contain the same core gameplay as the current release, but may differ in performance or minor technical behavior.

While these older builds may still run on legacy Windows systems, we cannot guarantee their functionality or provide technical support for issues encountered while using them.
